Tata Motors on Friday, November 1 reported a decrease in total sales to 82,682 units in October 2024, down from 82,954 units in the corresponding period last year. In a regulatory filing, the company stated that domestic sales saw a marginal increase, reaching 80,839 units compared to 80,825 units in the same month a year ago.
Passenger vehicle (PV) sales, which include electric vehicles, experienced a small decline, totalling 48,423 units in October versus 48,637 units in the previous year. Breaking down further, domestic PV sales reached 48,131 units, showing a slight drop from 48,337 units year-on-year. In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Tata Motors recorded sales of 34,259 units, down marginally from 34,317 units in October 2023.
The shares of the Tata Group company ended nearly a percent in the red on Thursday, October 31.
