This update marks a strategic shift, as <strong>Nestle India Ltd.<\/strong> and <strong>IndusInd Bank Ltd.<\/strong> are scheduled to exit the index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to estimates by <strong>Nuvama Alternative &amp; Quantitative Research<\/strong>, these changes are poised to trigger notable investment flows. Trent and BEL are expected to attract passive inflows of <strong>$330 million<\/strong> and <strong>$378 million<\/strong>, respectively. Conversely, Nestle India and IndusInd Bank\u2019s removal could lead to outflows of around <strong>$230 million<\/strong> and <strong>$145 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHistorically, stocks added to the Sensex tend to witness strong intraday performance, buoyed by increased trading volumes,\u201d Nuvama noted, hinting at a possible repeat of this pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UltraTech Cement Gains Weightage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of weightage adjustments within the index, <strong>UltraTech Cement<\/strong> stands out as the only stock set to see a rise in its Sensex weight, drawing in <strong>$4 million<\/strong> in passive flows. On the flip side, several index heavyweights\u2014including <strong>HDFC Bank<\/strong>, <strong>Reliance Industries<\/strong>, <strong>Infosys<\/strong>, and <strong>TCS<\/strong>\u2014are expected to face reduced allocations, collectively resulting in <strong>$249 million<\/strong> in outflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Broader Index Changes: BSE 100, Sensex 50 &amp; Next 50<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The rebalancing extends beyond the Sensex:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>BSE 100<\/strong>: <strong>Dixon Technologies<\/strong>, <strong>Coforge Ltd<\/strong>, and <strong>Indus Towers Ltd<\/strong> will join the index, replacing <strong>Bharat Forge<\/strong>, <strong>Dabur India<\/strong>, and <strong>Siemens Ltd<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BSE Sensex 50<\/strong>: <strong>InterGlobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo)<\/strong> and <strong>Shriram Finance Ltd<\/strong> will be included, while <strong>Britannia Industries<\/strong> and <strong>Hero MotoCorp Ltd<\/strong> make their exit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BSE Sensex Next 50<\/strong>: Reflecting the shifts in other indices, <strong>Britannia<\/strong>, <strong>Dixon Technologies<\/strong>, <strong>Coforge<\/strong>, <strong>Hero MotoCorp<\/strong>, and <strong>Indus Towers<\/strong> will be added. <strong>InterGlobe Aviation<\/strong>, <strong>Shriram Finance<\/strong>, <strong>Bharat Forge<\/strong>, <strong>Dabur India<\/strong>, and <strong>Siemens<\/strong> will move out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"0\">These updates are part of the semi-annual index rejig process and aim to ensure that the indices better represent the evolving dynamics of India\u2019s equity markets.
