Additionally, the UK-based unit, which had reported <strong>\u00a31.5 billion in free cash flow<\/strong> previously, now anticipates that figure to be <strong>\u201cclose to zero\u201d<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the dip, JLR management remains optimistic about the long term, aiming for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Free cash flow recovery<\/strong> starting FY27\u201328<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EBIT margin target of 10%<\/strong>, though no timeline has been provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">JLR&#8217;s Dominant Role in Tata Motors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In FY25, JLR was a major contributor, accounting for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>71% of Tata Motors\u2019 total revenue<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>80% of the company\u2019s overall profitability<\/strong><br>Meanwhile, <strong>average revenue per vehicle<\/strong> stayed <strong>above \u00a370,000<\/strong>, showing no year-on-year growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trade, China Plans, and Market Position<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the trade front, JLR is in ongoing talks with the <strong>Trump administration<\/strong>, aiming to reduce tariffs on UK exports to the U.S., which currently stand at <strong>27.5%<\/strong>\u2014while tariffs on Slovakian exports remain unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite a challenging premium car market in FY25, <strong>JLR maintained its No.1 position<\/strong> in the premium segment as of <strong>May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To strengthen its position in <strong>China<\/strong>, JLR plans to license the <strong>Freelander brand<\/strong> to its JV partner there.
